ABOUT

HELLO, I'M MANDY

I am not a stranger to struggle. A major part of what has motivated me to seek out the best practices for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being has been my own experience with life challenges. I started therapy as a teenager and my inner journey progressed from there. After numerous programs in health and healing including several health certifications and a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology as well all of the insights I gleaned through my personal healing, I felt a deep call to help others.

Coaching is one of the primary ways I feel most aligned and of service to others. I love to learn and grow every day and delight in holding loving space for my clients to do the same.

MY STORY

Growing up I put a lot of pressure on myself to meet society's ideas of success--get straight A's, get into a great college, look fit and thin, have lots of friends, volunteer for non-profits on the weekend, run for class president--you name it, I did it. It wasn't even my parents pressuring me--it was some deeper part of myself that was just part of me for as long as I can remember--this part of me that strived to be the best even if it meant sacrificing my health and well-being.

While overall my intentions were well-meaning, the expectations I had of myself were crippling and destructive. I developed an eating disorder by age 13 and bouts of depression set-in shortly after that. I kept a smile on the outside, but behind closed doors was miserable and struggling.

I mustered up the courage to tell my Mom I needed help and saw my first therapist at age 15. What unfolded from there was years of introspective, self-discovery and eventually feeling the call to help others which led me to finding the master's degree program in Spiritual Psychology and teaching fitness and wellness programming at UCLA for the past 10 years.

In my master's program I trained extensively in how to heal limiting beliefs, nurture inner spiritual connection, heal from past trauma and hurt, overcome self-sabotage, manage stress, and ultimately how to create a life you love living.

I now offer coaching through one-on-one sessions, small groups, and retreats. I specialize in dance movement, fitness, intuitive eating and nutrition, and various trauma-informed healing processes to name a few.
